We listen, act, and transform
I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2017. I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Washington University and received Master of Arts in Guidance and Counseling from Missouri Baptist University. I have clinical skills experience in trauma informed residential care working with children, teens and families. I have worked with sexual abuse, physical abuse, depression, self-harm, anxiety, anger management, eating disorders and family trauma with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
I utilize person centered, cognitive behavior therapy, existential therapy, reality therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) to guide my practice. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship. I genuinely value the importance of building rapport with clients and to support clients finding a therapist they feel is a good fit for them based on their individual treatment needs and goals. I believe in the inherent resilience of the human spirit and embrace a strength-based lens when working with individuals who have experienced trauma as well as other challenges and stressors.
I hope to help you engage and enhance your capacity for introspection, reflection, and self-awareness as well as to better understand and navigate your past, present, and future allowing you to feel empowered and hopeful in spite of the trauma and hardships. I promote and embrace the practice of mindfulness and gratitude, the value of human connection, and the importance of finding meaning in one’s life.
